DOWNING RECORD COMPANY has been around since 1978.  To date, DRC has produced and released more than 4 Dozen VINYL ALBUMS and twice as many 45rpm SINGLES.  These albums and singles range in size from 12-14 songs on a 33 1/3rpm virgin vinyl long-playing Album, all of the way to a Double-A sided 45 single.  Certainly we prefer your music to be recorded in our All-Analog Recording Studio, but we are happy to produce your music, whatever the professional source.  

 

IF YOU RECORD AT DOWNING SOUND STUDIOS AND PRODUCE YOUR RECORD IN VINYL, YOU WILL HAVE ONE OF THE FEW RECORDS BEING PRODUCED TODAY THAT IS ALL-ANALOG THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS.  THAT MEANS THE BEST POSSIBLE QUALITY, PERIOD.

 

While CDs are the dominate choice today, vinyl albums and singles are making a huge comeback, especially with audiophiles.  Today, you don't have to settle for the black vinyl record produced in the 80s.  Now you can have any color under the sun including splatter color of 10 different colors to see-through vinyl.  Your imagination can run wild. Full color booklets can be inserted into the LP, tri-fold albums/singles jackets are simple. So are posters ranging in size from 12x17 upto 36x24 inches to promote your project.  We can produce 100 LPs or 10,000 45s, you pick the total number.

 

It takes three times longer to produce a vinyl record, than it does to produce a CD, but the wait is well worth it.  Vinyl Production (either LP or Single) usually takes 8-12 weeks.

 

DOWNING RECORD COMPANY Produces high-quality DIGITAL CD.  We can make you a complete CD package in a plastic jewel case or, if you prefer, a simple cardboard sleeve.  

All with full color labeling and jackets.  

 

CD Production, in any quantity, usually takes 3-5 weeks.
